long day at work, my partner was gone so i was left to hold down the fort... A good learning experience? As i expected the shop didn't blow away....
American gladiator is on, pretty funny.
I've been thinking about another bus... I am ready to build one that i am really proud of; pull out all the stops and build up something really nice. I have learned a ton of stuff this go around, most importantly know what to do and what NOT to do. It will be a while before i start the next one, I'll have to let it find me. the next one will include the following:
-Dual batteries
-wired in trickle charger
-isolator and disconnect
-all camping equipment and radio on the second battery
-bay westy propane tank (bling!!)
-propane heater
-engine with heater boxes
-stock trans, lowered one click, with narrowed beam
-safaris
-engine compartment light
-sound deadening material through-out
Pipe dreams, Im a barbers son...
Adventures in no particular order, but mostly chatter about junk.

Today we got the Oasis running, new fuel pump, the wiring associated with that, and some tinkering... hearing that thing crank and run was a sweet sound...
LOTS of work still to do, clean it out, electrical work, body work, plumbing work, engine work.... I am hoping that after a month or so it will be in the paint shop but i guess that's up to dad.
Poor thing had cats and mice living in it... time for a new lease on life.

Yuck, tomorrow I have to work. Sunday dad and I are going to mess with
the oasis. Hopefully no fire(s) this time!

With any luck this years noc sale will be graced with not only my bus
but the oasis..... A lot of things have to go right for that to
happen!!!
Today I flipped off an under cover cop who was tailgaiting me (in a
ford SUV,) whoops.

Today i thought of the perfect name for the bus, "The Nautilus." Named after the submarine in 20,000 leagues under the sea (my favorite story as i child, aside from Davy Crockett.) After driving home in the rain and having it leak, scratch that, pour in through the safaris, it seems fitting!
