crazy day, got a bunch of stupid e-mails, none of which made any sense.... i wish the sender would stop trying to be "smart." Another guy was flexing his arm muscles in the bathroom when i walked in, it was really strange, i wanted to say "your still fat, put your jacket back on." And if that was not enough there was another guy that was seriously cracked out. shrunken pupils. stumbling around. slept for 4.5 hours in the waiting room and when he woke up he ate a sandwich that has been in the fridge for over two weeks...


this was just one of those days where you pinch yourself and ask, what the heck!


after work we messed with dads motor-home, it would not start, the fuel pump or carb is jacked. that thing is quite a bit more complex than it should be, i mean sheeesh...

bus is still running good, the axle seals are leaking but i can live with that right now. there was a so-33 listed today, it was in OR. i almost called the guy to make an offer but them reality struck and i realized that it was a 2500 mile drive out there.... that is a little much, 10 i can handle, over 24 is just to much.... oh well... one will find me.

played some super Mario tonight, got to level 3 and died... i need to get a game genie!

We got a original NES last night, got is all hooked up... talk about a blast from the past...

wonderful day...

Same ol stuff going on at work, nothing new... Just a 6 day work week
to look forward to, yuck! Nothing makes you feel more shitty than
working 55+ hours for multiple weeks....

Went paddeling yesterday, it was great, the ride was a bit scarry
( for multiple reasons ) but it was so relaxing to be back on the
river. We went to the cheoah, its a fun run, next time I want to take
the perception and do the hand paddle thing. I need a challenge ;-)

I've got my eyes on the green river, I hope in the next month or
so.... Hopefully ill get to go with "the crew" that would be a trip
for the books!

I think that next weekend we are going to try and go camping, I need to get away and if the weather is nice I think it will be a good weekend. The bus is running well and I'd like to put some miles on it. Maybe Tellico or NOC…

 

Still no word on the busses, things, and the t34 that we found the other day… I'm still waiting on the grape vine to give me a ballpark figure on what the guy wants for it all...

A lowered bus does not lend itself to easy under body repairs.....

cost .40 and be $30 to ship. No joke.

Nice day, put on my jacket, scarf, and gloves and opened the safaris.

Another long day at work, bussy with silly stuff. This job has made it
clear what a bitch life can be. I really am lucky!

After work drove down to check put some vw's. The t34 below was/ is a
great find, now if I can talk the guy out of it.... That can be the
hardest part!

The things were in ok shape all three would make one good one. There
were some early super bugs, but they don't do all that much for me....

We'll see what happens with those poor'oll cars, it hurts to see them
returning to earth. I'd love to take a swing at that gia!

My lead said he knew where some more may be, we'll see, at least I am
on the right path!

Nice bus, good for parts, I wish it was a pre 63, a great find non the
less.

I love this truck, it would look great slammed on chrome wheels!

Bus is running well, I need to figure out some wiring and bleed the
brakes, a bug trans is the way to go!

Today was a long day, worked on the bus but my head was not there... typically it's relaxing; today it was frustrating. The rust, grease, old wires, all that stuff just pissed me off. Made some stupid mistakes and spent a lot of time looking at stuff that i know exactly how it goes together... once it's working right it may be time for a change.

long, Loooooooong week at work. I'm having to learn a new computer system / internal control system while still doing my job. yesterday someone got canned while we were in a meeting, and today we had meetings with corporate all day to discuss theory, the application is left to us (after being told all day that this system has "failed miserably at three other stores.")

My head hurts.

Also ordered replacement parts for a 2002 camper, most of them were obsolete; pretty wild, in 6 years your new camper will be "obsolete" had to go through several vender's that specialize in those parts, and boy do you have to pay for them, $200 for a crappy little plastic fender, yuck.

was also told today "that number was not good enough!" i wanted to ask how the number failed to meet their expectations? self important much?

i want to work on my car. need to clear my head. would kill for a nice day with the bus running good, and the safaris open...

If all goes as planned i will have the bus all back together sunday. Saturday i am going to try and meet someone at a shop to check out a couple of things and a type 34 gia (aside from a Jaguar type E, one of the prettiest cars ever made...) if it is as described saturday could be a wonderful day...

Yesterday we went down to Tims VW repair to pick up a "new" trans for the bus. Tim turned out to be a super nice guy and defiantly someone who i will be doing business with again. Apparently he enjoys building engines, maybe one day we'll see how one of his 1776 sounds! GERRRRRRR!

The bus started popping out of reverse and 4th, it runs fine if you hold it in gear but that is a pain and a sign of problems to come.... So today out came the engine and trans, again. Honestly I'm getting a little sick of dealing with with the stupid little shit that keeps messing up on me. These cars truly are "Hitlers revenge..." regardless i have never drive something so much fun and with so much personality, for better or worse. In addition i need to keep in mind that it's a 41 year old car that cost the same as the scooter. hrmmm.

Corporate folks are coming to work tomorrow, that is always interesting... This week i have class, the usual work... I plan to have the bus running again by Sunday, it needs two days of work... one to get the nosecone and hockey stick swapped from the old trans to the new one, along with the backing plates new brake shoes, etc/ etc. A second day to re-install the trans and the engine. While that's out i need to check the spark plugs and other piddley stuff. I have not decided weather on not to lower it more; i have about two inches to entertain.
