still waiting on that gosh diddely darn e-break cable for the truck!!!

When it finially arives the truck is ready to to to work and get primed, there are two, whoops... three dents that i need to pull before i spray it but that wont take long. I got the garage all cleaned up this morning and started to make sure that all the other bits are in place so i can lay them out and start cleaning them. Once i fix the rust on the lower section of the doors and pedistal i will prime them and all the other bits:

window frame
air duct cover
doors
gates
deck-lid
valance
bumpers
etc.
emblem
window frames


i am planning on painting all the hardware back, the bolts gate locks.... should look nice and give a little contrast, it will also match the hoops. The blue paint is picked out, all that is left is to mix it, i still need to pick out a white that matched well for the bumpers... I would like to get a canvas top for t but i think i will wait till its all put together before i mess with that, It would make no sense to have a nice new canvas topper and have a trans that wont shift into 4th, or a beam that needs to be rebuilt...

still thinking of some little bits to add... the stop light of corse, a light in the engine compartment and also under the rear seat will be nice.... i need to round up a vintage stile clear and amber fog light, mount a radio under the dash... i have a set of jail bars for the side windows, that will look really good! it sucks that one of the safaris has a crack, at least its OG.

the april 17th deadline is not going to happen, no way! At least i will be able to pick up a few bits i am missing and maybe a type 1 trans... I like reduction boxes but i will want to switch to that sooner or later, its so much nicer on the freeway and fast also...

waiting on a e-break cable so i can finish the breaks, bleed them, and tow it to work to prime.

the engine is finished aside from one stud that needs to be replaced

once i get the truck out of the garage i will start working on the gates, pedestal, and doors
