Last night I welded in the two driver side rockers panels… ¾ of the look perfect. The remaining ¼ has a strange bend at the seam. I am sure that it is the result of not trimming the metal down just a bit more before I started to tack it in… I’m not sure how to fix it, or if it is worth fixing for that matter. A skim coat of filler may be all it needs. Regardless for my first time welding in body panels they look excellent aside from the 7in section where the “bend” is. The small rocker at the pillar looks perfect!

The rest of the week will be taken up with school and such, Saturday or Sunday I plan on doing the following:

Putting seam sealer in the areas around the front tubs where there is a gap, pressure wash the underside, rear end, and the trans…. Then weld in metal under the bed…

If I can get that done it will set me up for replacing rocker panels on the passenger side next week… after that I will need to fix the pedestal and get ready to spray primer or bed-liner (wire brush.) I would like to spray the entire rear end under the bed with primer and also the rear passenger compartment. The body is not ready to be sprayed until I can pull two dents and maybe *maybe* get 220v run to the garage…. Then I can get an air compressor and getting some stuff accomplished.

The rear bed panels will be here Friday, I can get them drilled and ready but there will be no reason to mount them till after I get the rear end washed/ sprayed/ undercoated and the gas tank mounted and strapped down.
