With the help of Jeremy, we picked up the truck last night…. Took a bit longer than I expected but we were able to get it back to the house safe and sound. Unloaded everything and started to sort through the bits. It is safe to say that I have entered the second stage of a project, hopefully that will change. I believe that my plan is as follows:
-Continue to unpack and organize and clean.
-Try to completely assemble the truck and see what I have and more importantly what is missing. What’s missing I will have to find, and what I don’t need I will sell/ trade
-----------------------
-Focus on the drive train and breaks, the front end is good to go, the rear end needs to be bolted up, the axel boots need to be replaced, the shifter needs to be attached and the fluid needs to be checked/ changed.
-----------------------
-Weld in all replacement panels
-Patch holes in floor / tubs / pedestal
-----------------------
-light body work sanding and primer.
-disassemble the truck, prime, sand, paint,
-final assembly
I have no clue how long it will take me to get all this done, Most of it depend on the speed at witch I can get the body welded back together, I would guess two days of assembly, several days of parts hunting, and three to five days of welding (im not that great at it) should get me pretty much there… Another day to get the rear end together… and I would guess 6 days of body work and sanding. At the very latest I would like to have it finished by April 17th (bug-a- paluza) in/ at camp Jordon.
This weekend I don’t have to work so I would like to get the truck put together. Then collect all the extra parts and put them out of the way till they find a new home.
Adventures in no particular order, but mostly chatter about junk.
